Warm Heart Pediatrics requires a minimum of 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Simply let us know that you need to change the appointment (It's easy! You can just text me directly!)
For cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, a missed appointment fee of $50 may apply.

Yes and no. It depends what you mean by “concierge.”
— Do we provide direct access, long appointments, and personalized care from a highly qualified, board-certified Medical Doctor? Absolutely YES.
— Do we provide on-demand visits 24 hours a day, call in antibiotics whenever they are requested, or order tests that are not indicated medically? NO.
Warm Heart Pediatrics is the right fit for parents who want to know their child is being taken care of well, using up-to-date evidence-based guidelines, by a committed doctor who cares for them. For parents that are seeking convenience and not careful, conscientious care, we are not the right fit.

Cancellation is easy. We understand that this model isn’t a good fit for every family. If you decide to cancel, simply provide 30 days notice in writing (You can simply text!).
We are still available to provide care while your membership is still in effect. Because charges are filed monthly, we will refund a pro-rated portion of your final month as long as all other fees have been paid.

We respond to all non-urgent messages during business hours.
Members have access to a special number that they can use to text or call as needed for issues that cannot wait. Please follow the instructions provided during enrollment.
For true emergencies, we recommend you call 911.
We have also partnered with Hello Pediatrics, an after-hours, local telemedicine company that is staffed only by board-certified pediatricians. They accept all the major insurance carriers in our area and provide exceptional care.

Just like everyone else, Dr Playforth will take vacation periodically! We will provide advance notice of any planned absences and notice for any absence due to illness or family emergencies.
If Dr. Playforth is completely unavailable for an extended period, we will arrange for a board-certified pediatrician to take care of any needs that arise while Dr. Playforth is away.

Expecting parents who are interested in membership should arrange a prenatal meet-and-greet with Dr Playforth. Once you are accepted into the membership, simply pay the registration fee to secure your baby’s spot.
After your baby is born, let the hospital know that you will be a patient of Warm Heart Pediatrics and please call Dr Playforth to share the happy news!
The hospital pediatric team will take care of your baby until discharge. When you leave the hospital, you will coordinate with Dr Playforth to set up the first appointment.
Parents who did not arrange a prenatal interview will still need to meet with Dr Playforth prior to being accepted into the membership.
